Bringing high-value soybean processing
to the Red River Valley

Our Mission

Epitome Energy is building a full-service soybean crush plant in Grand Forks, N.D. to serve farmers and agribusiness throughout Eastern North Dakota and Northwestern Minnesota.

The plant will process up to 42 million bushels of soybeans per year from area farmers into high quality soybean oil, soybean meal and soybean hulls.

Our Goals

Provide new opportunities for farmers

Many soybean farmers are more than 100 miles away from a processing facility. Epitome’s facility will provide a more efficient and reliable option for processing.

Help farmers maximize profitability

Epitome’s plant will strengthen the basis for soybeans by 20-25 cents per bushel by helping the region’s hard-working farmers reach new markets.

Meet growing demand

Nearly one-third of the soybeans in the global market last year were produced by U.S. farmers. Epitome’s processing plant will help serve rising demand for soybean oil, meal and livestock feed.

  • "In less than two years North Dakota has gone from having zero soybean processing to having three planned soybean crushing plants with the capacity to process roughly 75% of our state’s annual soybean production. These are game-changers that enhance North Dakota’s leadership in feeding and fueling the world."

Doug Burgum, Governor of North Dakota

  • "This is a tremendous investment in our local economy, further cementing our agribusiness dominance as Grand Forks continues to punch above our weight class."

Brandon Bochenski, Mayor of Grand Forks

  • "[Epitome Energy's] new soybean crushing plant will be a great asset for local farmers and the state’s agricultural economic system as it will create new local market opportunities for soybeans."

    Josh Teigen, Commerce Commissioner
